What is Amoxil 500mg used for?

Amoxicillin is also used to treat bacterial infections of the skin, skin tissues, lungs, and/or respiratory tract in patients who have allergies to metronidazole or nitrofurantoin. Prevacid is also an antacid and helps neutralize stomach acid.
Precautions You should not use this medicine if you are allergic to amoxicillin or to any of its ingredients, including: pregabalin. Before using amoxicillin, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to penicillin or to any other medicines. Also tell your doctor if you have a history of pancreatitis, lupus, or a history of severe allergic reaction to drugs.

What should I do if I’m already taking amoxicillin?
Take amoxicillin exactly as prescribed. Take Amoxicillin and clarithromycin once a day.

Measure liquid medicine with the dosing syringe provided, or with a special dose-measuring spoon or medicine cup. You may mix the liquid with water, milk, baby formula, fruit juice, ginger ale, or other sweetener. Stir the mixture and drink all of it right away. The chewable tablet must be chewed before you swallow it.
Swallow the tablet whole and do not crush, chew, or break it.
You may need frequent medical tests.
